Summary
When law school doesn't work out, you go crawling back to the job you swore you left behind, cleaning up the psychological wreckage of government assets. You’re assigned to evaluate Agent Kennedy, decorated agent, emotionally detached, and fraying at the seams. The file says six sessions. Just protocol. A simple assessment. But he doesn’t follow rules. He watches. He listens. He knows where you live.
You tell yourself you're imagining things. That the missing hoodie was a mistake. That the window latch was always loose. That the calls, silent, breathless, are just a glitch in the line.
