This is about an AU where WX-78 got an accident at the sea with the rest while sailing, got sank and thrown off by the waves left and right, leading to critical injury especially their head. to prevent more damage, their systems shuts down completely until their body completely dried off. it took a really long time for them to finally reboot, but the damage has been done. Now they're awake with no memories about their origins, separated from the rest and now tried to find their way back...if they remember where...

Shouldn’t that mean she ought to keep her distance? If he kept making her think of Abigail, wouldn’t it be easier to mourn if he weren’t around? If she didn’t have a constant reminder of what she lost? But she didn’t feel sad next to Webber. In fact… she felt the opposite. He distracted her. Made her feel like a child again, like she wasn’t trapped in a world that felt too big, too cruel. When he talked to her, when he laughed, it was easier to forget – if only for a little while.
Maybe, with him around, she could pretend she was just an ordinary kid again.

New York City Mysteries (By King Squeak) is a Don't Starve AU that takes place in New York City during WW2/The Great Depression (I deeply apologize if the timelines are askew from real life, I am attempting to make it accurate.) This story follows Maxwell and his 12 year old niece, Wendy. Moving to New York wasn't exactly how she had planned her life to go, but it turns out to be a rather dramatic ride! If this AU seems interesting, I suggest giving it a read (however I am the author, so I kind of have to say that). PLEASE read the tags before indulging in this story, it does have a few trigger warnings (and know that I will put what the trigger is on every chapter).
