Summary
Once upon a time, it is said, dragons were creatures of magnificence and victory and prosperity, creatures whose arrival could have a kingdom celebrating for weeks on end. But after a thousand years of disasters and legends shrouded in mist, dragons have become little more than specters of death, and those unlucky enough to find themselves living in one's shadow would do almost anything to step out into the sun. Even if it meant sacrificing one of their own.
It is fate that Aether and Lumine, twins marked by calamity, are the first to be captured when a dragon descends upon their village and demands a bride. It is chance that Aether is chosen over Lumine when the sacrifice finally arrives. Resigned to a short world of pain before violent death, Aether’s only comfort is that Lumine might still have a chance to safely live on without him.
Then he actually meets the dragon, with its warm scales and amber eyes. And as the seasons turn and change, he finds himself daring to hope for just a little more after all…

Summary
After being separated from his twin, Lumine, Aether is forced to travel the various nations of Teyvat in the hope of finding her again. However, as he does, he realizes there may be a lot more to this world than he first thought - including his first opportunity for friendship and, eventually, love.
Basically incorporates Aether/Venti into the canon story with a reeeeeeeeally slow burn friends to severe denial to lovers kind of plot. As in they don’t kiss until after Natlan kind of plot. But it also focuses really heavily on their characters and (if I do it right) will result in an emotionally meaningful story and relationship. Other than that, there’s just a lot of retelling of Genshin’s story and events with the occasional non-canon interaction because there have to be sillies somewhere

Summer was officially over. It was time for the next few years of high school, whether or not Aether and Lumine were prepared. Aether was terrified, nervous, and honestly just wanted a nap, but he was forced into the real world, and must socialize as interact as a normal teenager, when he still wants to be a kid.
This is a rewrite of 4 years of hell spent with you. I'm starting with the already made chapters before I even think about new plot. Oh geez, I'm not good at rewriting things I came up with 4 years ago, but please don't read the old one it is so cringe.

For as long as he could remember, Aether has been a phantom wandering the universe along side his ambitious sister until they’re attacked by a mysterious woman with incredible power.
He expected that this would be where his story would end, with him dying under some tree or being found and dissected like some animal by scholars. He had no idea what Teyvat would have in store for him next, showing him a life he’d never imagined possible for him. Or the hardships such a life would bring.
P.S: This started as a bunch of Aeventi food for Aeventi enjoyers, which it still is!!!
But at this point I thinks I should also mention that this is a rewrite of the prologue. So yeah, warning for content that wasn’t in the original story. I probably should’ve added that a while ago.

A/N: This fic was first posted on my Wattpad account and now I am putting it in here as well. This will have crossovers with other fandoms as Aether and Lumine will have journeyed through other worlds before they had come to Teyvat. I want to show Aether and Lumine as worth their weight, it is known that Aether and Lumine have seen stars being born and die, and were said to have travelled a lot. As such, their performance in Teyvat is a bit lackluster. Even if their powers have been sealed their knowledge and memories are still there and their bodies aren't that weak.
This is an Aether Harem fanfic and he will be more competent and badass here and I hope you all enjoy this fic.

Scaramouche has a way with words; he makes them hurt like rusted knives twisting into Aether’s gut. Each syllable spilling past his lips pelts Aether’s tender nerves.

Aether notices an opening, a bright light, an escape from this hell hole. He pushes Lumine through, she screams for Aether but as she is pushed through, it closes behind her.
Aether can only hope his sister is safe. And he continues to fight and survive, hoping that soon, he could escape too. To see his sister again so they could fly free together.
