Summary
“Hey…” Tide whispered as quietly as he could from the doorway, shuffling his feet on the rug, approaching Vyncent’s bedside, “just checking in before bed.”
Vyncent tried to wipe the tears from his eyes, knowing that Tide wouldn’t be able to see them, but still feeling self-conscious nonetheless. He sniffled and scooted away from the edge of the bed, wrapping the blankets tightly around his shoulders and burrowing deeper. Tide clicked his tongue softly and it went right to the part of Vyncent’s mind that made him crave contact. He wrapped his arms around his stomach and pulled at his tail, trying not to reach out toward Tide.
