Summary
Noel Michaels didn’t deserve it.
She didn’t deserve to be holding the pistol she was holding, mindlessly loading bullets into it. Anyone could see that. Nobody thought she could handle a surprise, nevermind a gun. All she wanted was one of Charlotte’s hugs. That’s all she needed. Too bad she couldn’t get one. Too bad Auntie Charlotte had been killed by the meteor. Too bad Uncle Sam had been killed in the aftermath. Too bad that she was the only one left.
(In which the government and Paul destroyed the meteor and the majority of the United States with it.)

Summary
Stan watched the world fall asleep around him while a new world woke up and began to perform its haunting dances. He stared out, with glazed over eyes, at the broken shards of water that still managed to mend after the wind ripped through them. He watched and he watched, all too aware of the thoughts creeping into his mind and all too disconnected from anything in his prescribed reality to really care.
Bill watched Stan.--------------------------

Summary
Harriet shook her head, pushing the thoughts of her week, drifting in and out away, the memory of her name flashing out of the blasted bloody goblet. The Ravenclaw sat on the landing for the astronomy tower, looking over the grounds of Hogwarts. Harry glanced down at the small fire conjured snake. It was coiled just above her hand, the flames licking at her small hand, the blue flames highlighting faded burns and scars on her hands.
The memory of how she got them, drifting around her head, the phantom feeling of Aunt Petunia’s bony hand holding hers to the hot plate after burning dinner, the feeling of the blistering heat of the sun glaring down on her pale skin as fingers dripping with her blood as she pruned her Aunts roses.
Harriet glared down at her pale hands, bathed in blue light and focused on her scars, imagining them fading and the skin of her hand becoming smooth; Harry watched as her Green and charcoal grey magic weaved in and around her hand before hiding her scars.

Summary
Mabel returns to Gravity Falls for the first time in years and ends up staying longer than intended. Dipper heads back to Gravity Falls expecting a reunion. Maybe it's time they accepted that their life is never going to be so simple. Every time they come into town, things always seem to go wrong. And last time, they finally fell apart. At least that hasn't changed.
A twenty-year-old Mabel Pines just meant to drive through Gravity Falls, but after starting an unexpected partnership with Ford, she stays in town to reopen the Mystery Shack. It is no coincidence that this is also when Dipper's return to town takes place and, shortly thereafter, the return of that demon Mabel had really hoped was dead. And it is no coincidence that these returnings call the attention of another far more personal foe.
