  • But they were still hanging on to it
  • Because they had made commitments and they really loved each other
  • One day they were both chosen for a mission by NASA
  • Levi would be piloting a spaceship
  • Hange would be conducting experiments in the ISS
  • So they went to space
  • Everything went fine at first
  • Hange was really happy
  • Levi hadn’t seen her like this for a long time
  • they discussed visiting Key West again once they returned to earth
  • and they had spaceship sex
  • Yeah because why not
  • But they soon had a system glitch
  • and their spaceship stopped functioning
  • They needed to escape ASAP
  • While on their way to the escape crew capsule
  • Someone had to stay behind
  • Levi volunteered and sacrificed himself for Hange
  • Because he loved her and wanted to see her live to the fullest again
  • Hange was heartbroken
  • but Levi just told her not to worry and kissed her one last time
  • Hange successfully made it back to earth
  • Knowing that she would never see her love again
