The man had a fine profile, though. All clean lines and strong forms, wide-shouldered and long-limbed, he hovered on the threshold to the antechamber they were in, framed by cold, pale light spilling in through the arch around him. There was a confidence to the way he held himself, too. Shoulders proud, back straight as an immovable rod, a wide smile ready to pluck from his pocket should he need to charm.
