Then Henry’s phone rang. He stopped mid-stride, reached into his pocket, and pulled out his phone. Raised it to his ear. And that’s when it happened.
The sleeve.
It moved.
Just a little. Just enough. It slid maybe an inch—barely more than a breath—and something underneath it caught the light.
Alex squinted. Sat up straighter. Leaned a little over his desk.
Was that… ink?
No, come on. That had to be a shadow or something. A stray pen mark? A coffee stain? But as Henry turned slightly, it caught the light again. Definitely not a coffee stain.
Alex’s jaw dropped.
Was that a tattoo?
No. No way. Not Henry Fox, HR's golden boy, the man who breathed punctuality and probably had emergency spreadsheets laminated in his sock drawer. Mr. Regulation Tie Length. Mr. "Let's Circle Back On That."

'What’s your plan?’ Alex asks, lowering his gaze to meet Henry’s as he scans the crowd. ‘I’m not exactly sure.’ He pauses, letting his gaze meet Alex’s. ‘What if we took the Tube to get home?’
‘The Tube?’ Alex replies, surprised. In reality, Alex doesn’t have anything against the subway—nothing at all. It’s just not the first mode of transportation that comes to mind when he thinks of Henry.
Across from him, Henry maintains his determined expression as he argues, ‘If we take a taxi, we might as well take our private driver. And no one would think to look for us in the underground.’ He adds more softly, making sure only Alex hears him, ‘It would be just you and me for a few minutes.’
Henry and Alex are attending a royal event in London. They get bored and sneak off to get back to Kensington Palace. But the journey back there takes more time than expected.
Basically, firstprince disgustingly in love, on the Tube (or trying to) and central London around Christmas time.It follows the canon and the story takes place around December 2021.

It’s not that Alex doesn’t want to. No, he does miss the taste of his husband’s lips on his, he truly does. The truth is that he’s afraid. He’s afraid because the last time he pressed his lips on Henry’s, he couldn’t feel it. That usual spark whenever he would touch his husband—whether it’s that weird feeling in his stomach or the shiver that runs through his spine—it just wasn’t there.
It’s the first time in thirty years that Alex didn’t feel a thing when kissing the absolute love of his life, and he truly doesn’t want to live in a world where this feeling is gone.
