Kazuha finds himself at a crossroads paved with blood and lined with bodies. On one road lies salvation for the resistance and the people of Enkanomiya. On the other lies a singular man with piercing eyes and a smile that can cut. He holds a gore covered sword, and knows himself to be stained. He is here to reap for their safety. He must do it, even if his hand falters, even if he finds tears sprouting from his eyes. There is no other ending. There never has been, not for him and not for him.
The man smiles at him as he spits blood. He loves him. It's a sin they both wallow in, both of them wading through the swamps dyed a dark, muddy brown. A brown they are both familiar with, a brown fueled by life and death, a brown that causes Kazuha to wish he could clean himself as he usually does. But he can't. He holds onto the smiling man and listens to the death rattle.
He must die. There was no other way. Not for the doomed man who holds the blade, nor for the man who awaits him, time after time. It's tragic, he thinks, as his blade sinks into the sea around him.
He's too beautiful to be so filled with sorrow.

Toby turns their head back to Hannah and Beth, and Logan, who pushes off the stage and stands. Hannah meets Toby’s eye behind his back and makes a hilarious face they think must mean, ‘ohohoooo boy’.

Mizu lets out an annoyed sigh and turns around, “how much for one night?” She asks. One of the women hold up five fingers.
Mizu turns back around to look at Ringo and considers her options. She could just flee and shake him off her trail like she’d been doing and finish her business, or, she could hide away in the brothel. Maybe he’d get the message and leave her alone for a while, then she could slip away and be done with him.
She decides quickly and barrels into the brothel, hands on the backs of the women, urging them in with her. “I’ll take one night with either of you two,” she says, then huffs, “both, maybe.” The two women share glances of surprise but then smirk at one another.
“Alright then.” The woman on Mizu’s right says, and then she's tugging her along toward a room down the hall. “We’ll make sure you don’t regret it, lost boy.”
God, she hopes so.
