Summary
What if the Absolute Crisis had been foretold and the gods had already had it all figured out and fixed with a neat little bow with six heroes hand-picked for the job?
The gods certainly have no need for a vampire spawn in their plans, all but one that is.
For 200 years, Astarion had thought all of his prayers unanswered, but one goddess was meddling in the other god's plans, risking unraveling them at the seams, for the sake of the spawn that had pulled on her heartstrings.
This is a reimagining of the events in the games, with my own creative twists and an emphasis on Astarion's fight for freedom and his journey of healing.

Summary
Several months had passed since Gale’s marriage to Mystra ended, and the idea of diving back into the dating world held little appeal. After a series of disastrous first dates arranged by well-meaning friends, Gale reluctantly agreed to try out a new dating app, only to discover it was more geared toward casual hook-ups than finding a meaningful relationship.
Despite his initial reservations, Gale spent an evening testing the app, scrolling through profiles until he paused on one that caught his eye - a stunning, pale elf with the username Starlight69. On impulse, he marked the profile as a favourite and decided to call it a night. But just as he was about to put his phone away, a message from Starlight69 appeared on his screen…
Starlight69: Hello, darling~ 😈
Without hesitation, Astarion attached a rather flattering photo of himself - nude, of course.

Summary
The language of their intimacy is all inverted. Astarion shies away from the lightest touches and evades the subject any time Wyll tries to talk about this budding thing between them. Wyll bares himself over and over and over and still, sometimes, it feels as if Astarion is only ever seeing him in glimpses.
The closer Wyll gets to Astarion, the further away he seems to be.

Summary
The white rose is a symbol of Ilmater, a deity of compassion, perseverance, and the easing of pain. He is the patron of the oppressed, the abused, and the tormented. Doctrine of his church may focus on suffering and bloodshed, but ultimately he is a deity in service of living and loving life.
This is likely the source of old wives' tales about roses and vampires. The scent repels them and the petals burn their skin. A rose placed on a vampire, be it on their body or the lid of their coffin, will bind them in place for eternity.
Astarion hates flowers, and he hates the rose inked into the palm of the hand he shakes when he agrees to trade Cazador's severed finger for his head. Astarion hates how there might be some credence to those tales after all, and his prayers have been answered so late.
(This was inspired by the game letting me give my tav the same facial scars as Sebastion, blissfully unaware of what they meant. Once I found out things spiraled from there.)

Formerly "Astarion's Alleged Devil Fetish"
Raphael promised to translate Astarion's scars in exchange for his services. There seems to be a bit of a miscommunication as to what those services were meant to be.
Or: Astarion lays it on thick, thinking he's been hired to entertain the cambion for the evening, and Raphael, oblivious and flattered, comes to the conclusion that the vampire spawn simply has a devil fetish, perhaps even a crush.

Summary
“You’re not fun, Gale. We’re building a rapport. A neighborly conversational bond. Contribute, please.”
Gale’s lips are containing some sort of outburst. Laughter. A withholding of humors. “You have not even told me your name,” he says, releasing a little wheezing chuckle in the process.
Astarion feels the world lurch in a pleasant shock of upbraided awareness. “So I haven’t,” he says. “How rude of me. My name’s Astarion.”

When Astarion stabs Cazador, it breaks the compulsion long enough for Astarion to run all the way to Waterdeep. Here he checks into a motel. His neighbor is odd. Gale, the mathematician with enough money to buy himself a house but little interest in doing so. No matter. Astarion can work with that. He needs an ally. Especially with Cazador looking for him.Gale's had a rough go of it. Near-fatal car accident, apartment almost burnt down around him, leading to an eviction, of course. He'll happily rot in this motel room indefinitely, thank you very much. His new neighbor has other ideas. Because Astarion has secrets and maybe needs help burying a body or two. Ah, well. Gale wasn't doing anything with his life anyways.

Summary
Astarion is hungry, but one particular member of the merry band of freaks he’s traveling with refuses to succumb to sleep. He can’t risk getting caught and exposing his vampiric nature, so he offers to help in the only way he knows how.
It’s just smut. No plot.
Edit: now with a second chapter. Heed the tags. Will probably write more of these two sporadically, no plot, just smut set vaguely throughout the game's timeline. It's effectively complete as it is, though.

Summary
Feeling even the tips of his ears burning, Athanasius pulled Astarion closer, stopping him just before their mouths could touch. Astarion’s lips parted in confusion, and Athanasius leaned forward just a tad more, and, tilting his head to the side, he opened his mouth and licked the blood from Astarion’s upper lip with a long, flat swipe of his tongue.
To him, it tasted only salty and metallic. He couldn’t really say what had possessed him to do such a thing. Some strange desire to share the experience, perhaps. Perhaps a long ingrained desire for the sealing of any good ritual with a sacrament.

Summary
“Or…” Astarion continues, his voice heavy with promise, “did you want me to take you properly?”
Gale's breathing stutters. “Yes, that,” he answers quickly, like he's worried he'll lose the ability to speak. “Please?” he begs, like Astarion would ever deny him.
Astarion slides his hand to Gale's waist, dipping under the wizard's ridiculous velvet shirt. “And when I take you,” —Astarion says Gale's euphemism in the filthiest tone he can muster— “will we be fucking or making love?”
Gale's eyes are wide and desperate as he looks at Astarion, it's almost as if he's been struck.

Yet even as she gathered up the pieces of her scattered mind, the screams that had echoed through the now severed connection persisted...
A trap discovered too late results in the Reithwin Mason's Guild being razed to the ground, entombing a certain vampire spawn in the rubble.

Summary
The orb pulses once warningly in Gale's chest. He's an idiot. He can't flirt with Astarion. He can't indulge this desire. It would destroy them all if he gave in.
“And are you, darling?” Astarion asks, stepping close —too close— his head tilted invitingly. “You've been a dead man walking for, what, a year now? You must be desperate indeed.”

Gale can't fuck, until he can.
