Gerard looked up with wide eyes, staring at Frank who leant casually against the doorway to the room. Frank had a soft smile on his face, taking in the notebook on Gerard’s lap and the pencils scattered around him. Gerard forced down the need to blush and grabbed the pencils off the bed, fiddling with them in his hands.
“Hey, Frankie,” he said with a grin. Frank rolled his eyes and walked over, climbing onto the bed as well, sitting next to Gerard against the headboard, closer than necessary.
“You draw anything cool?” Frank asked. Gerard huffed and shook his head.
“Nah, just some studies, yaknow. Needed to keep my hands busy,” Gerard admitted and gave Frank the notebook. Frank smiled at the pictures on the page, comparing them to their real-life equivalents. Gerard took in Frank’s features, soft like he’d been before, but he’d matured, like a fine wine. Gerard wanted to hit himself for that thought.
“Cool. I know much better ways to keep your hands busy though,” Frank responded and winked at him.
