Summary
A groan escaped her lips as her foot got caught in a tree's roots, forcing her out of her thoughts. It wasn't enough for her to trip and fall, just a minor inconvenience. A tap from her foot made the root wither away and crumble to dust. She continued down the path.
If anything, Mafuyu was doomed from the start. Before her mother put her own curse on Mafuyu, she'd been cursed from the very beginning. Just imagine the shock of a deity of harvest, prosperity, and growth, being gifted a child that only brought decay and rot to anything she touched. Such cruel irony.
