He took a breath as he clutched her feather, closing his eyes before uttering the words.
“Kuutar, Maiden of the Frosmoon. I humbly ask you to lend me your strength.”
For a moment, all was silent.
Then he heard her. She giggled. “I knew you’d remember!” She said.
Opening his eyes, he saw the hauntingly beautiful lunar woman who held the position of third harbinger. Her coat was gone, replaced with a pair large white and magenta wings. Instead of a lace mask, she had a golden chain circlet around her forehead. A vibrant Ruby was attached to it, falling just above her eyes. This was as close as any regular mortal could get to seeing her true form without evaporating on the spot.
