Summary
Harry likes Zayn.
The thought strikes Harry as he’s driving away from Zayn’s house on an inconsequential evening. Nothing happened or stood out, but the thought comes to the front of Harry’s mind like a red traffic light, a period at the end of a sentence. This “like” has been brewing over months of close friendship, growing in bars and movie theaters across London, not to mention at work. It feels like it snuck up before Harry could stop it. A friend. He’s made a real friendship and now he’s found himself ruining it with romantic feelings again. The realization feels like bile crawling up his throat, bubbling in his guilty gut and coming to expose itself in front of his steering wheel, all over the windshield.
