Summary
Remus arrives in some sweltering corner of the EE.UU South, deep in the summer heat, after the death of Lily Evans and James Potter. There, two broken souls find each other in silence. They share cigarettes, cheap beer, a bed, and the most painful memories of their pasts.
There are no promises—only a brief truce between what was and what they’re trying to forget. And when summer ends, all that remains is a house on fire.
