Techno looked at the person sprawled at her feet. He had fallen unconscious the moment Techno unsheathed her sword and was now as still as stone. The person had a hand on his head as if dizzy and fell to the ground. Her orders were to raid in and take everything they could with them. She felt like she recognized this person, but from where she’s not sure. Techno continued to study the person even through the chaos all around her. The person had freckles under his eyes and on his nose, his skin was the color of milk in coffee. Techno was forced to stop studying the person, when a defender of L’manburg came over to attack her. She unsheathed her sword with a Shing, pink braid swinging in the motion, she made a quick SLASH and her opponent was down. The person Techno was studying started to blink open their eyes and sit up.
The moment Techno saw the lime green eyes she recognized him, “Dream?”

Thirty years ago, Emperor Philza declared that all avian children born in the Antarctic Empire were the property of the state.
It didn’t matter if they were orphans or not, nor did it matter if the families wanted to keep their winged children; they were to be identified at birth and brought to the castle. Eventually, the law was even expanded to avian children who were annexed or immigrated into the country, though it hasn’t changed since.
Unlike usual, he provided a reason for this bizarre rule: it was in their best interest to be around their own kind. There were certain developmental milestones avians had to hit – needs they had that human families just couldn’t provide. Avians lived far longer than humans too, so even if that connection was built the poor child would still suffer.
Since avians were so rare to begin with, it was easiest to centralize this ‘flock’ to his castle and estates. Being an avian himself, he certainly had no qualms with taking in one to three new children each year.
But Tommy's parents definitely do.

Summary
Technoblade gets slashed across the eyes in battle and loses his sight. Luckily Philza is there to save him but his responsibilities as King prevent him from supporting his friend through his healing.
Frustrated Phil grows cold to his people, they quickly step up offering to help and soon Techno has a loud mouthed servant marching through his quarters.
Tommy helps Techno heal mentally, Wilbur helps him heal physically. Philza eventually has peace knowing his friend is ok.
Everything will be alright.
