Shouta finds his kid curled up in a corridor, very much looking distressed, and he very much doesn't like that fact, so he doesn't hesitate to try and help.He's glad that his Problem Child decides to try and trust him, because it's a start, and that's all he needs.

Midoriya is a kid that cries at the drop of a hat. He cries over a video of a cute baby animal that one of his classmates shows him, or if he gets praised for his progress in Heroics, or over almost anything else at all.
So when he cries without tears, only dry, heaving, silent sobs, shoulders hunching in and fingers twisting, too-tight, surely painful given his bone-deep scars even if it wasn't for the paper-pale knuckles pulled origami-sharp, well, suffice to say that Shouta is worried.
