'Sometimes the deepest cuts exist in one’s mind.
Sometimes the wounds that never stop hurting are kept secret from everybody around.
Sometimes the scars need to be acknowledged or they will continue to be a reminder of what has been lost.
Sometimes the scars can belong to another person, and yet you hurt in the same places.'Or: Everybody has their pain, hidden deep below the surface, not properly addressed in canon.
Let's address it.

The thing about Ichigo is that he is comfortable to have grown up a subby nightmare twink. If only there was a more hands-on process of figuring this out, rather than this chaste, drawn-out courtship that Byakuya is so committed to. Cheek- and knuckle-kisses have their place, but he had rather thought there would be other stuff, too.
Which is what makes the explosive arrival of one Namikaze Minato on the scene so perfectly timed.

Summary
Friends were a lot of things.
They were the people you spent hours on the phone with. They were the people you never got tired of, who you could spend seemingly forever with and never think 'I wish I was with someone else'. They were the people you'd drive hours just to see, who you'd drop just about anything to be there for.
And friends were lots of people, too. They were young and old people, quiet and loud people—you name it, two friends out there would fit it.
And sometimes friends were a civilian and a villain, and sometimes one showed up in the middle of the night injured and bleeding, never asking but always silently hoping that you'd help them. And you would, of course you'd help them.
They were your friend. -

Summary
"A few more moments and he would be alone, properly alone for the first time in months, even if they had felt like decades with the sheer amount of things that had happened since he was a refugee inside the Earth Kingdom, trying to survive and not get caught. He had grown a lot, had become a completely different person, let go of his anger and sadness and embraced the newfound peace that he deserved. He had also taken opposite roads to the ones he was shown and forced upon.
Yet, no matter what, he always came back to who he had once been. A lonely boy who had too much on his plate."

Rather than the police station, Katsuki's friends bring him to a hospital after rescuing him from the villains. His wounds were minor, but it didn't make having them treated any less important. As it would so happen, Best Jeanist was also brought to this hospital after the attack.

BAKUGOU-CENTRIC — After the kidnapping incident, Best Jeanist takes Bakugou home and is confronted with the truth about his home life (a physically and verbally abusive mother, and a mentally abusive father that enables her.) He takes Bakugou away from the situation, and the rest of the story follows that premise, with various headcanon interpretations on Bakugou’s past as he fights against his parent’s abuse and heals with the gang. (Pre-Slash or Gen. Post-Kamino Ward, Angsty.)
THOUGHTS — Great read if you’re a Bakugou fan! Offers an interesting perspective on Bakugou’s history (as well as Izuku’s of course). It can get expositiony at times, but it’s well-written and grammatically clean. The premise is strong, and the character relationships are precious. The main focus is the custody battle and learning why Katsuki is the way he is. The fic, despite the length, covers a very short time frame, but there are some future shots in the end for a more satisfying end!
Overall? Great Read! I really enjoyed the author’s head canons. I think some can be considered a bit OOC? But not without reason. Some of the scenes here are definitely over dramaticized. To the point that it’s a little cringey. But most fix-its are (I’m just a natural cynic LMFAO). Anyways —There’s plenty enough set up for the character portrayal changes, and that’s all that matters.
Would read again!
