if you asked huey how he felt about birthday parties, he’d say they’re fun but he enjoys the planning process more. he’d say getting gifts is nice, especially if the stuff helps him get a new badge. what he really likes, though, is spending the day with his brothers; even if its a fight to get louie to do anything other than sit, and dewey to stop performing yo-yo tricks.
if you asked dewey, he’d say he absolutely loves all the attention he gets. it’s a day all about him, and his brothers, but they let him hog the attention. people do what he wants, and he gets cool gifts. not to mention, if there’s down-time (there normally is, just for louie), he gets to recount the day with his brothers.
if you asked louie, he’d shrug. they’re alright. he doesn’t exactly enjoy having a bunch of attention, which is why he’s so grateful dewey craves it. he gets overwhelmed by the amount of people at them now, and his inner introvert wishes it was just like on the houseboat again. the gifts are nice, but the ones from scrooge are eh. besides, he doesn’t exactly have friends to invite like dewey or huey.

March is a clone made by FOWL a month before Webby. She was the first clone they ever made, so she ended up having a few 'flaws', like her strabismus and short stature. She was going to be discarded when they successfully made April, until a SHUSH agent saved the duckling during a raid. March was reluctantly raised by FOWL agents, but most of them didn't even care about her, giving her a small room with barely anything in it and just giving her whatever clothes they could find. When she's around 11 years old, Bradford gives her a special mission: invade the McDuck family and help them find the Missing Mysteries, reporting back to FOWL with their locations so they can be retrieved at a later date. Once she starts bonding with the McDucks, she starts wondering if she should be doing the mission at all, or if she should start becoming her own person.

Her profile was caught in silhouette by the blue sky, shockingly familiar. A hint of golden hair in the sunlight. “Normally people say ‘thank you’ in these situations. Not that I’m one to tell you your business.” That voice, higher pitched than Webby was used to, but still familiar even without the honeyed, breathy quality that it would gain as it matured over the years.
Webby nearly lost her grip and fell over with realization.
Easy now, the assessing part of her thought. This isn’t the first time you’ve gone to the past.
There were other possible explanations for the scene before her, the small city with its absent technology and old clothing. She could, conceivably, find a reason for the strange tableau that wasn’t time travel. An elaborate themed village, a digital simulation, holograms...
But there was no mistaking the person beside her. Even if she was younger than Webby had ever seen her, even if she also wore a muted, drab and baggy dress along with a weather-worn bonnet on her head. Beneath it was the same gold-spun hair, if shorter with curls clinging to her scalp. And it was the same green eyes. Emerald flecked with gold.
