It’s supposed to be an accident. Karma knows the script. He’s supposed to pull back and apologize. He’s supposed to shy away. To deny, deny, deny. To pull back and whisper don’t tell anyone with wide eyes and unspecified disgust making him shiver. To spit out something scorching just because he can. Just because he has Karma right where he wants him.
