  Summary

  Blood, Shouto thinks. That’s why Fuyumi’s so upset. Something must be wrong.

  “It’s okay, Shouto. It’s okay-” Her voice breaks, breaths quickening before abruptly stopping, a shaky attempt to compose herself.

  Shouto’s eyes trail further, looking just beyond Fuyumi. She moves to block his sight faster than he knew she was capable of. Her eyes are wide, a type of wild Shouto has only ever witnessed once before.

  Or,

  Shouto, in a last ditch attempt to be the hero his family has always needed, slightly breaks the world and himself in the process.
