Summary
Karlach has served 10 years under Zariel's thumb, trapped in a mansion but cut off from the rest of life in Baldur's Gate. So when Duke Ulder Ravengard announces a plan to find a bride for his son, Zariel and Mizora seem strangely eager to seal the marital deal between Wyll and Mizora. Their plans may go a little awry when Karlach finds herself a fairy godmother - and finds her way to the ball.
Wyll, meanwhile, simply wants to know who that beautiful tiefling woman is - and how he can rescue her from the sadness that haunts her.
