But Kei knows that he’s too far gone to ever love someone the same way he’s given himself over to Tetsurou. He knows he’s made room for a second toothbrush in his bathroom, put all the dumb cat trinkets beside his prized collection of dinosaur models because where else would they go if not on display with his most valuable items, and gained a collection of mugs that he never uses because he only drinks coffee from his fine bone china tea set. There’s a drawer in his dresser filled with clothes that aren’t his, that he wears anyway only to wash them and fold them back up to hide the evidence of his longing for Tetsurou’s warmth when the man is so far away.
(or, tetsurou may have fallen first, but kei fell much, much harder)
