Summary
Cesar Torres is an alternate, and Mark Heathcliff is his unknowing best friend. He also doesn't know that he's been predestined to die from the start- by Cesar's hands. Gabriel, the leader and creator of all alternates, is insistent on this- Cesar believes, prays, that he can change fate- the fate of his best friend.
