Summary
“I have heard you have brought someone tonight,” one of the mothers said, one of the ones who was looking to make a match for her daughter. “When do we get to meet this…individual?”
The truth was at the tip of his tongue, something that should be so easy to say and admit, and yet Katsuki did not want it to give out. Much like the entire evening, he wanted to keep his words political and pleasant. He knew that, at the heart of it all, these mothers were gossips, just like any normal person at these functions. Surely everyone here was looking to confirm what they had heard upon walking through the door.
But before Katsuki could bite his tongue, try to formulate an answer on his own timing, a hand was on his shoulder, and the person was introducing themself to the conversation as if they were always there.
