Summary
When Nodoka decides that her husband's idea to take her child on a life long training journey to make them a "Man among men" is a no-go, a fight ends up breaking the married couple apart, a decision that ended up being the right choice as just a few years later it comes to Nodoka's attention that her child may not even be her son at all, but her daughter.
Genma however isn't as accepting as he decides to kidnap the child and take her on a training journey anyway. Ten years, two more kidnappings, and a curse later, and Ranma has the body she wants, but isn't allowed to have it as her father drags her into an engagement. But maybe her new fiancee is exactly who she needs to get away from her father once and for all.

Ranma has always had blackouts ever since he was 10 years old. Sometimes it would even be for more than a day. He didn't like when it happened, especially when his father would get mad at him for "acting different" but he never questioned it. But then, after getting a curse that turns him into a girl, realizing he actually preferred being a girl, and actually telling her father about such feelings, he begins acting completely differently from how he normally acts.
Ranma begins to question her reality, which leads her to asking the question: "What exactly causes my blackouts?"

After Ranma realized she was in fact a girl and marries Akane, Ku lon realized her hopes of bringing her into the Joketsuzoku are now impossible, but maybe her efforts are not waisted. As the one bringing the Joketsuzoku traditions to Japan, Ranma decides there needs to be adjusting in certain traditions to mesh better with modern society, specifically, the kisses of death and marriage.
Several years later a transfer student from America named Arthur Peterson arrives at Furinkan high. After asking who the Red haired girl getting attacked a by a wave of boys every school morning is, he learns about the Mebuuji, or the Japanese Amazons, and their traditions of the kiss of payback preformed on men who defeat them as a solemn promise to battle again and win, and the kiss of love preformed on women who defeat them to declare a date, and how one student, had mixed up the two and gotten all the boys in school riled up against the second generation Japanese Amazon attending the school.
Arthur winds up accidently defeating the Japanese Amazon. She preforms the Kiss of Payback and prepares to make a non issue of it, until she begins to suspect this new transfer student is like her mother.

When Genma hear's about a mystical mountain in Canada and how people claim to be changed after climbing it, he drags Ranma there all the way from Japan so they can climb it and reap it's benefits. Akane, not wanting to be left behind comes with. However, Genma misinterpreted what "Changed" meant, as the mountain brings out Ranma and Akane's emotional problems and forces them to look them in the face, all while he lost interest in the climb and went back down.
Being faced with seemingly insurmountable obstacles, but not wanting to give up on the climb, Ranma and Akane are left wondering just how the mountain will change them.
