Summary
As they walked, Medkit slowly ate the rest of his cupcake, trying to stay focused on the conversation—but it was hard not to be distracted by the way Subspace’s enthusiasm was undeniable, it seemed to fill the air around them. And the way his words bubbled out, filled with excitement and pride, made Medkit feel something he hadn’t expected. There was something so charming about it—the way Subspace’s eyes lit up, the small giggles and the little grins that accompanied his every word. It was all so... infectious.
“So you know, back at the lab, we were put in this super intense science program together, righhtt?” Subspace started, practically bouncing on his feet as he spoke. “They had this whole set of challenges designed to test our skills in, like, the fundamentals of science—robot building, engineering, and all that fun stuff! I’m telling you, it was insane.” He gestured wildly with his hands, clearly relishing the memories.
