“Oh, yeah,” Nick sounded slightly embarrassed, like the comment had taken him off guard. “The drink Darcy made for me when we first got here, it was some sort of strawberry concoction.”
After a couple beats of silence, in which Charlie reveled in the way Nick’s hold on his waist hadn’t let up and his fingers twirled gently in the dark curls behind his ears, Charlie spoke.
“Kiss me again…?” It sounded like both a demand and a question all at once, but Nick answered confidently, drawing him in once more and kissing him, causing him to feel dizzy in a way that alcohol never could.
