Summary
In the months since they returned to Salle, things have shifted between them. The gods are dead or banished, the Antaam expelled from Antiva’s shores. The usual rhythms of the de Riva estate are familiar but changed by their time away. There are contracts, of course, and the recruitment and training of new fledglings, the unending business of the House. These things are as they have always been, and Viago appreciates the return to routine after nearly two years of chaos.
There are changes, of course. Like this one: Vero, stretched out and naked in his bed – their bed, now, in their shared chambers – relaxed and loose, skin glowing in the dim candlelight. Of course he has had them here before, countless times, but there is a comfort to their presence that was not there before, an ease in the way they relax into the softness of the dark sheets.
Viago stands at the foot of the bed, watching the slow rise and fall of their chest, the way their normally bright eyes are faintly glassy, unfocused as they turn their face towards him.
“Are you ready?” he asks, moving to unbutton his shirt. His hands are already bare, as they usually are these days, when they are alone.

Summary
In retrospect, perhaps entrusting Vero to Rosa’s dubious care had been a mistake.
He had thought – hoped, in any case – that giving her oversight over the newest of his fledglings might encourage a sense of … not ownership, exactly, but responsibility.
He thinks, now, he would perhaps have been better off getting her the kitten she’d so imperiously demanded.

Summary
The Mourn Watch was all Ehren Ingellvar ever knew, from the day they were found in the crypts, to the day they were sent out to 'find themselves' after their controversial triumph at the War of the Banners. Even after, during their hunt for Solas, they only scantly heard of other factions.
That is, until they needed to hire a Crow to help save the world.
Then, their cold dead heart somehow ended up in the clutches of the Antivan Crow's most infamous mage killer, supposedly thought dead for a little over a year. How fitting for a Nevarran Necromancer.Little did Ingellvar know that not only would they find themselves balancing on a razor's edge in matters of life and love trying to find and kill their targets, but Ehren might find a little something more about themselves, but at what cost?

Summary
It is just a contract, like any other. That is why he gives it to Vero, because it is a contract, like any other contract he has ever given them, and there is nothing at all unusual about it.
This is, of course, not true. Because Viago does not give Vero seduction contracts. They have trained for them, of course, but he has never asked them to move from theory to practice. He has other agents more suited to the work. Vero is beautiful, but in a way that is serious and rather severe, and their androgyny means that their appeal is perhaps more limited in some ways. It is a practical matter. It is not that Viago wants to keep them to himself, not that he is possessive or jealous, not that he believes his is the only bed they should be found in.

Summary
Vero has barely made it back onto the walls when they catch sight of Viago, stalking towards them like a storm. When he reaches them, he grabs hold of their arm, and his fingers press into bruises they can feel rising beneath the thick leather of their armour.
"Come with me," he says. He is furious, as though they have not just killed two blighted dragons (or perhaps because they have) and there is some part of Vero that wants to protest, to pull away, to –
"Now," Viago says, and he tugs at them until they stumble towards him, and then after him. Their body betrays them, as it often does where he is concerned, following as though leashed.

Summary
Set two years after the final scenes shown in Dragon Age: The Veilguard (video game), Lucanis is working himself to exhaustion and taking risks to separate he and Spite, heedless of the toll it is taking or caring about the results. Rook is lonely and in mental/emotional anguish and trying to self-destruct by running headlong and recklessly into combat because the pain is too much to face. With the found-family and friendship created during the course of the mission against the gods, what happens when time progresses beyond the end-goal and your family/friends need to deal with their trauma and hurt.
Everyone dealt with immense loss, pain, rejection, and torture, during the course of Veilguard's events and somewhere along the line there are going to be breaks and cracks in the walls one erects around themselves. Lucanis remains locked in an internal struggle and cycle of self-torture, Spite and he are still not separated, and the traumas Rook faced before, during, and after the Veilguard story have never been healed. Through intervention and care, can the connection between Lucanis and Rook and the connection between the Veilguard companions be healed, and can friend-love and soul-bond-love be a key to that healing.

Summary
Rook held the dagger out to him. He gripped it, the power of the lyrium blade sending icy ripples up his arm all the way to his shoulder. To his heart. Rook had to feel the same, yet they neither showed nor acknowledged it. They simply gripped the dagger more tightly, stare boring holes into him. "We make it right this time."
Rook's companions notice something odd about them.

Summary
Lucanis Dellamorte didn't survive a year in the Ossuary and get saddled with an irritating demon, just to be put on a Venatori ship headed for an execution. There had to be a way out. There was always a way out.
This time, the way out came in the form of a wild, impulsive thunderstorm who called himself Rook. An out-of-control apostate from the Lords of Fortune, who had blown a cultist to bits with little more than a gesture right in front of Lucanis. During what was supposed to be his daring escape.
To close the impossible distance between himself and home, Lucanis decided to do the only thing he could do: team up with this Rivaini elf armed with more secrets than an Orlesian bard and a stare that made him weak in the knees.
How do you keep up with lightning?
