Summary
Ricky felt bad. He didn’t want to feel like this. He didn’t want to keep pushing everything and everyone away, but he couldn’t handle them being around. It was like something in his brain had hit the big red panic button. He could tell that the walls had shot up as the alarm blared between his ears. His anxiety was simultaneously trying to protect him and making everything even worse. He felt exhausted. He felt alone. He felt abandoned. He felt scared. He felt numb.
It scared him.
He was alone.
He was always alone.
Or: Ricky's anxiety makes him isolate himself from everyone. EJ just wants to help but only ends up making things worse.
