Eight years ago, Hat Kid's ship crashed into Subcon Forest, and Snatcher, despite himself, took the baby inside home, finding himself becoming a father. Hatty has spent basically her whole life on Subcon Forest, growing up as the Snatcher's adopted daughter, and even though she loves her family and life in the haunted forest, she can't help but wonder about the planet she originally came from. Fortunately for her, when a new friend or two suddenly enters her life, she might get the answers she's been looking for...though the experience with new, and old, friends, and buried secrets, might just put her father and home at risk.
