Summary
For as long as he could remember, Hal had dreamed of being a Warden. The wooden sword clutched tight in his sweaty hands would instead be one of hardened steel, cutting through the air with a whistling swish, stained only with the foul, bubbling blood of the darkspawn. The sun would catch on his imaginary cuirass, the twin griffons emblazoned on his chest glinting with a dazzling light, bold and fearless. He was a Grey Warden, fearless and unyielding, always riding ahead to defend the weak.
