Summary
Alina killed the Darking centuries ago. She had her small life with Mal, only to bury him too soon. Grisha are hunted down worse then before, and she tries to help them, take up the mantle of Sol Koroleva and fights for them. But centuries pass, and every year is another scar written on her heart as wars worsen, grisha die, and Ravka becomes a wasteland surrounded always by enemies.
So when she wakes one morning not in her pile of furs in a dank cave as far from any hint of civilization she can get but in a bed in a room she can barely remember.... It feels like a dream, right up until Genya and the small army of maids burst through the door.
