On his way home from a particularly terrible day at work, Scar discovers a strange hole-in-the-wall sort of bistro, home to three ethereal beings he can't quite comprehend - the nymph, the spirit, and the angel. They're kind, they're welcoming, and so dreamlike Scar can't even tell if they're real after he wakes up in his apartment the next morning with no clue as to how he managed to get home. And as he tries to make his way through his normal day, he finds the strangers won't leave his head, them and the alluring, beautiful place they inhabit. They call to him relentlessly, they draw him back. And despite all the warmth and kindness they showed him, something is gnawing at the back of his mind about all of this. Something is wrong with the Lotus Obscura.

Since they were back to back, Scar felt every move of Duckling’s body as he laughed hysterically. Somehow it was more insulting than when he did it to his face. “Huntsman, when will you get a clue?”
Scar sputtered, trying to understand what was wrong with what he’d said. “Could you be less vague for once?”
Sorcerers were knowledgeable, he knew that much, but Duckling seemed above it all in a way. It was infuriating at times, when he’d act so high and mighty compared to Scar.

He helps the tired owner, then finds out his name is Grian after asking multiple times.
This 'Grain' character pops at Scars place after... finding usefull information. The zoo keeper makes multiple grave mistakes to find that Grian is not someone to be around. Why is that? Why is he so dangerous?

It was nothing but a silly weigh-in before the fight. It didn’t actually mean anything, just to hype it up for everyone involved. When Scott steps on the pressure plate, Jimmy makes an offhand remark meant as a joke, but it stung Scott way harder than it meant to, and sent him spiraling down a dark path he never wanted to venture down again.

I LOVE Peskypoppy (Grian x Scott) and tormenting c!Scott in any way possible (affectionately, it’s what happens when you’re my favorite character) so when given the inch of the whole “Jimmy called me fat” shtick and Grian shooting Tim with a bow in response, I took a mile.

Her second mistake, as the storage room’s dock creaks beneath her footsteps, is letting herself look up.
Far beyond the palm trees, framed by Tango’s rolling hillside and Skizz’s looming pyramid, are the first glimpses of Pearl’s base. Its red roofs are barely visible, and the foliage Gem knows to be there is reduced to vague specks. Not thinking about it becomes abruptly harder.
Ultimately, Gem fails.
After Past Life, Gem’s left contending with all she’s trying to ignore. Just as the moon guides the tide, she can’t help but reach for Pearl.

Eventually, he can’t help but sneak a look at her, and then he can’t stop. It was all a game back then, and he had the blessing of knowing it. Still, however, it had burned when she died. As Grian follows the line of her nose to her blue eyes, he can’t help but deflate a little in relief. Pearl is alive and breathing and well.
“It’s good to see you,” he finally cracks out, because he knows he has to if he wants to sleep without regret tonight.
“It’s good to be home,” she replies.
They stand there together, just staring and breathing. It’s a luxury they haven’t had in a long, long time, and they enjoy it to the fullest.
“Gem won’t remember, you know.”
Closing his eyes, Grian sucks in a breath.
