Summary
Grandpa Bobby lives but Robbie still dies, leading to him having to navigate grieving for his son whilst simultaneously taking care of Robert (would be around 15-16 at this time, meaning his grandfather would have taken legal guardianship). Also known as Dispatch AU where everything remains pretty much the same except Grandpa Bobby is alive with some minor differences that wouldn’t affect the overall storyline. Edit: My bad, the song Beautiful Boy by John Lennon wasn't released until the 1980s, but for the sake of this AU we can just pretend it was released in the 70s.
