The night it ends, Sam feels nothing. No pride in himself for his part in vindicating a mother he doesn’t remember, a father he wishes he’d tried harder to understand. Even relief eludes him, and that one definitely felt as though it should have come with a guarantee.
Perhaps it was naive to assume a celebration would follow, because it’s not like tonight fixes anything, not really. Tonight doesn’t smooth over all the ways their lives are in ruins, hand back all that he and Dean have lost, atone for all the things it’s driven them to. It certainly doesn’t change the fact that one year from now, Dean is going to die.

A zhongchi oneshot, mainly just loosely garbled dialogue and sporadic angst, an alternate ending
A humble gift for the author of "What I Cannot put Into Words, I Offer You in the Weight of Gold", Suibianitsfine,
This is set after the battle against Scaramouche, where Childe unfortunately does not make it out alive, and the two never get to confess properly, instead just a lot of angst and inner turmoilEnjoy I suppose

Summary
“I was right. You are a monster.”
“You didn’t think so when you hand-delivered yourself to me on the Supremacy. To what end—to turn me to the Light? To save my soul?” He speaks derisively and his lips press together, as if recalling a distasteful memory. Rey senses the embers of his own anger rising to meet hers through their bond’s echo.
She draws herself to her full height and stares him directly in the eyes. “You’re beyond saving.”
“That is what you and others don’t understand. I never wanted it in the first place.”
—
Ten months after the Battle of Crait, the Last Jedi and the Supreme Leader of the First Order have kept their bond tightly shut, allowing the seeds of their mutual rejection to blossom into hurt and anger. When the location of the Resistance base is revealed, Rey must make the ultimate sacrifice: the lives of her allies and friends, in exchange for yielding her freedom to the First Order, indefinitely.
But new threats soon lead to the discovery that Rey cannot draw lines between the Dark and the Light as easily as she once thought, and blur the boundaries between hatred, lust, and—eventually—a deeper bond than neither she nor Kylo Ren could have ever conceived of.
