Summary
Neil’s eyes are glued to it, to him, to the smoke billowing around them. Neil watches as he takes another drag, the cherry brightening to a light orange before dimming as Andrew exhales.
Just like every other time he’s caught Andrew smoking in the past few weeks. Neil wonders what it would feel like if Andrew were to put it out on his skin.
Well, no. He doesn’t wonder. He knows it’ll hurt. Hurt like the burns he carries on his face, his arms, his hands. He knows that it’ll be blinding, a pain that drags him out of his head and straight into his aching body. The skin will redden, crack and blister, it’ll leak and scab.
Eventually, it will be nothing but another mark left behind on an already ruined canvas. Neil knows this. Neil knows everything about how painful the process is. He’s lived it after all, and yet, he’s still here wanting it.
Neil wants Andrew to take that (innocent) cherry and put it to his skin. He wants him to make it hurt. He wants Andrew to make him feel good, wants a reminder that he’s Andrew’s, wants to be soothed afterwards with firm hands and burning kisses. He wants and wants and wants.
