Rowena shuts the nursery door quietly, baby monitor in hand as she pads down the hall toward her and Sam's bedroom. Ainsley was finally sleeping through the night in her crib, having transferred from the basinet in their room last week, and Rowena was looking forward to a hot shower before bed.
Sam had been on the phone with Dean when she'd brought Ainsley up to bed, and as she passes the top of the stairs, she hears him laughing in the kitchen. Her lips tug into a smile, and she sheds her clothing before she brings the monitor with her into the bathroom, perching it on the counter as she stepped under the hot spray of the shower.
She takes the time to wash her hair twice, letting her deep conditioner sit as she finally shaves her legs for the first time in weeks. When she steps out of the shower, wrapping herself in a soft towel to dry off while she carefully dried her hair, the red strands falling around her shoulders in loose curls. She presses moisturizer into her face, frowning at the circles that still darkened her under eyes.
