On the couch in the living room, Eliot unfolds gracefully out of his boneless sprawl. He’s a little slower about it these days, a little more careful with how he moves, how he treats his body, but it probably wouldn’t be obvious to anybody who doesn’t know him as well as they do.

Summary
Parker used to tell herself bedtime stories.
Because no one else did, and because the picture books she came across always seemed to paint the dragons as the bad guys. So she made her own, stories where the rules made more sense to her and the characters were more interesting and the dragons were bigger and cooler and winners and always got a happy ending.
Parker falls in love three times.

Summary
Eliot's their hitter, and taking on any physical threats to the team is his job, but there's something beyond professionalism – even beyond the obvious fact that Eliot relishes the fight itself – in the way he puts his body between Parker or Alec and any potential threat. Alec has a good view of Eliot's back on a lot of jobs, and he reads something in the tight line of Eliot's shoulder, in the slow turn of his foot as he steps into a fighting stance.
