Dice had been nothing but loyal.
But in the end, it was for nothing. he was cast aside, left to die in the harsh alleys of Inkwell City as if he hadn't spent his life devoting his mind, body, and soul to furthering what he wanted, all over one measly soul.. as if that oversized imp didn't have enough. Dear Satan, he was hungry. So incredibly hungry, curled up on some dingy mattress in an alley, he'd already eaten one of his shoes (which was DISGUSTING, by they way,) and he wasn't keen on eating the other..
As much as he hated admitting it, he was hungry enough to beg.
As he got up and hobbled out onto the street, mind wandering and hoping that maybe, by some turn of luck, God would throw him a bone and make sure he got something, anything to eat-
A truck, speeding down the road for Satan knows what reason, turned the corner and sped towards him.
the first thing he heard was his arm cracking. the next he heard was his head, and in the end all he felt was broken.
