    The guard pointed her gun, aimed, and fired.

    Peter made a choked noise. Tony’s head snapped down to look at him, heart jolting in dread at the dart lodged in Peter’s neck.

    Peter sleepily turned his head Tony’s way, eyelids drooping closed yet his expression remained pained and confused.

    Tony turned back to the guard, seething.

    ”You must be out of your damn mind-“

    She shot again. Tony’s mouth parted in horror as he stared at the second dart lodged in Peter’s shoulder.

    ”Pete...”

    Peter’s breaths evened out before his eyes rolled to the back of his head and he was collapsing to the ground in a mess of limbs, entire body weighing three times more than it should.

    Tony slowly, venomously turned his head back to the guard, his expression dark.

    ”For that, Rhodey is gonna kill you first.”

    Bellamy and Clarke have been English professors in the same department for four years when Bellamy's ex-girlfriend comes to town as a visiting professor. She's been invited to read the short story that all but ruined Bellamy's life. Little does he know that Clarke has a history with Echo too and will do anything to get under her skin. Ensue an elaborate fake dating scheme designed to prove to Echo that she's wrong for what she wrote in her story and that she's wrong for what she did to Clarke.

    The only problem? Bellamy and Clarke have been enemies since the day they met. If they're going to convince Echo they're together, then they'll have to get through the next few weeks without fighting. And if that's possible, then who knows what could happen next?

    “More like a Hallmark rom-com, complete with the snowstorm and background Christmas music.”

    Bellamy’s not sure if he consists more of the rom or the com for her, but before he can head down that train of thought, she’s reaching over and stealing the last Christmas cookie that he was two seconds away from putting in his mouth.

    clarke learns she hates the cold the hard way, bellamy keeps showing up to keep her warm.
    aka 5 times bellamy gives clarke something to keep her warm and the 1 time clarke gives something to bellamy.

    “Bellamy, seriously what—?” is all she manages before he’s letting out a small sound of success and is standing up and closing the distance between them in two quick strides.

    All her questions and annoyances die on her tongue as, carefully, slowly, gently, he reaches out to tug a soft hat over her head, tucking hair behind her ears and making sure it’s tugged securely over them, his fingers are chilly where they brush against her skin, calluses rough and she’ll blame the snow that’s started falling in earnest for the way she shivers and has to squeeze her eyes shut.

    “There,” he says softly, fingers lingering on her cheeks for a heartbeat before they’re gone. She suddenly feels colder than she was before.
