    Contrary to the popular belief, pirates weren't out to backstab each other. They had a code and the number one rule was loyalty to the crew. The VK gang was not exactly his crew but it was close enough. In that case, what was Bridget? She wasn't a pirate but she was his beloved. She deserved the loyalty he showed to his crew, did she not? She did nothing that could warrant a cruel punishment like Uliana wanted to give. So, who was he going to choose? Uliana or Bridget? Leader or Lover? Thankfully, he didn't have to decide. Those two new girls took it upon themselves to save Bridget. He didn't know why, nor did he care. All that mattered was Bridget was safer with Uliana banned from the Castlecoming and new people as targets for her. Unfortunately, that was luck, pure luck. Next time, he doubted he would be so lucky. He had to make his decision soon. His time was running out. They would not stay within the safe confines of the Merlin Academy forever.
