Only he didn't expect to find himself in a strange place in a different time with people that look and act like his family but are different. And why is everyone so mad and scared?
A fic told in shifting perspectives exploring how FitzSimmons' child can perform the Christmas miracle of resolving Shield's plights by just being the cutest little thing.

Alya knows Mama is hiding her illness because she doesn’t want to worry her, but she has eyes, you know. She’s barely eating and keeps getting so sick Alya has found her asleep in the bathroom. It must be very bad. But Da doesn’t seem worried. He smiles softly as he holds Mama’s hair back and just seems so happy. And that makes absolutely no sense. Da can’t hide anything from her. He never has before so how could he start now? Something is seriously wrong with her parents, Alya is determined to get to the bottom of it.

Floor watched them through the thin slats of the vent grate. There was longing in her chest, throbbing like a dull ache right beneath her scar. Distantly, she wondered just how bad it would be to try and join them.____________
In which Floor managed to survive when the High Evolutionary shot her. She learned how to use her size to slip into small spaces, eventually escaping and surviving by hiding in the walls of ships. Eventually the ship she is hiding in is bought by a new crew... or, rather, an old friend.
Drax is convinced that their new ship is haunted. Mantis agrees. Nebula thinks they're both idiots, Groot doesn't believe in ghosts, and Quill thinks a ghost would do worse things than fix their ship. Rocket just wants to get this mission done with so he can get back to a proper ship that doesn't sound like there's something living in the walls.- Language:
