“No, Daniel,” Jack says and Daniel catches it this time. “You have to tell me what’s wrong.”
There’s so many things he could say to that. Things like, I think I'm losing myself, or does killing make me a bad person, or I can’t fall asleep for more than a few hours at a time because I still haven’t gotten used to sleeping alone, but none of that seems like enough. None of that seems to even begin to give form to his grief.
“Daniel,” and that tone forces him to answer.
“She’s gone,” he decides to go with the root of it all.
Or Daniel isn’t dealing with loosing Sha’re as well as people thought

Klaus didn’t technically have a drivers license, so a rotation between Diego, Luther, Allison, and Vanya had been established to get them through the night and out of state. Five had offered to drive part of the way but had instantly been told no by everyone for various reasons; namely his broken hands, his exhaustion and potential concussion, and the fact that the body he was in was obviously underage. Which was probably a good idea, considering how quickly he'd fallen asleep once they were back on the move.
Set post-season two, in a borrowed/stolen minivan with six siblings on the run (and a kazoo).
