“Hey, no, I don’t know where he is,” MJ says, in a rush of breath. “I don’t know where he is, Tony, and I know I have access to that tracking thing, but it feels weird for me to do that, and it doesn’t feel weird for you to do that, so you should do that. And find him and tell me what’s going on.”
“Okay, calm down,” Tony says, getting up and stepping back from his workstation.
“You know you can’t tell me to calm down, because I’m calm, and I’m always calmer than you because you’re like, inherently, not calm. At all, about anything, but especially about your family—”
“Okay, this is not calm,” Tony says, starting to pace, even though he’s not calm either, she’s right.
She sighs loudly in his ear.
“When was the last time you saw him?”

Summary
It all started the way it usually did; with Tony doubting his own sanity.
“Happy,” he said, turning the paper over, then turning it back, squinting at it. “What the hell is this?”
Happy barely glanced up from his phone. “How should I know? I just drive you around, I don’t try to understand your designs. You’re the one who left it in the back of the car yesterday.”
Tony turned the paper towards Happy, tapping a finger against the scribbles in the margin. “I didn’t write that. I thought it, but I didn’t write it. What sorcery is this?”
“Oh shit, sorry,” Happy said, expression resigned. “I’m guessing the kid went through them when I drove him to school this morning. He has no regard for personal boundaries.”
“The kid.”
“Um— My girlfriend, she has a—“
“Your stepson did these calculations?”
“That’s not entirely—“

Summary
Penny had been invisible.
From as far back as she could remember up until her father had returned from Afghanistan, the girl had had no idea what it was like to be a part of a family. She'd had vague ideas, from the kids at pre-school and then at elementary school. Friends had talked about what they'd done with their parents over the weekend, often with a sibling or two attached. They'd talk about trips and games and, what had made her most jealous of all, birthday parties.
Penny hadn't really had birthdays. And especially not parties.
But, with Pepper pregnant and every moment being dedicated to the coming baby, Penny is really looking forward to this one day.
