Summary
“I’m ready to die for this, Potter. Talking means my mother dies, and I’d rather die myself,” Malfoy answered, meeting his eyes with a mixture of fury, pain and fear.
Taking a few seconds to process this, Harry raised his wand and pointed it at his face, murmuring “Legilimens.” Perhaps because of the beating, perhaps the surprise, or perhaps Malfoy was giving his consent, but Harry was able to slip into his memories. He saw Voldemort giving him the mission. He saw him threatening and torturing his mother. He saw her letters trying to reassure him, but noticed she no longer wrote with her usual fluency. He saw his initiation, the terror he felt, the pain of the Mark. He also saw other things — moments with Harry. Well, not directly with him, more stolen glances, forced encounters, conversations with Pansy about him.
Lowering his wand and breaking the spell, they looked each other in the eyes. Seven heartbeats it took Harry to make a decision. He stepped closer to the blond, who was looking up at him from the floor, and offered him a hand to help him up.
“Let’s talk. I can help you.”

Summary
“Pathetic,” Draco said, staring straight into his eyes without his characteristic sneer, before turning on his heel and leaving him alone in his Hogwarts Express compartment, his dark green—almost black—cloak brushing past. A single word was all it took for Harry’s heart—already far too battered for a fourteen-year-old… or even for a twenty-eight or a forty-two-year-old, some might say—to finally break.

“HERMIONE! I NEED YOUR HELP, IT’S AN EMERGENCY. I’VE FOUND A MAGICAL ARTEFACT IN GRIMMAULD PLACE!”
Jumping up and stepping back from the grate, Harry waited, grinning wickedly. Five seconds later, his best friend appeared, half-undressed from work, half her make-up gone, wand raised as she scanned the room wildly.
“For Merlin’s sake, Harry, don’t touch anything! Where the hell—” She whirled round and saw him. “Harry… if this is a joke, I’ll kill you.”
“It’s not a joke, Mione. Everything I said was true, except one part. It’s not magical. It’s Muggle,” Harry said as he led her quickly to the office, Hermione following, still on edge.
“Muggle? What the hell is a Muggle artefact doing in this house? And why on earth would you— That’s a fax?!” she cut herself off, staring at the out-of-place hulk of plastic. -

Summary
Blaise groaned. "You’re mad."
Theo raised an eyebrow, a taunting grin spreading across his face. "You won’t dare."
And just like that—with a challenge, a flash of defiance, and far too much firewhisky—the plan was set in motion.

Summary
The Second Wizarding War lasted 1,043 days — from 24 June 1995, when Voldemort regained his body, to 2 May 1998, when he died at the Battle of Hogwarts. In that time, there were over 3,500 deaths, according to the Ministry of Magic’s most recent estimates. Approximately one in three members of the magical population of Great Britain lost their lives. Of all the victims, one-third remained missing — buried in mass graves, held as prisoners, or living in exile. One of those was Draco Malfoy.
