    Summary

Suguru has stopped to think.  Satoru doesn't know how much he's considering it, if it's something that Suguru has to consider at all, but it doesn't matter.  Satoru has no real desire to see them dead, in the same way that he doesn't particularly care if they live.

It would fulfill justice, avenge her death, in some miniscule way.

It would do nothing for her, she wouldn't be brought back to life and she would derive no joy from their deaths.

“With the way I feel, I don't think I'd care if I did it right now.”  Later, maybe he'd care.  Maybe their blood would stain his hands and haunt his memory; maybe he'd find pleasure in it, in the way they paid for their sins; maybe nothing would change and their deaths would weigh so little on Satoru's mind that one day he'd forget about them.  Maybe he'd be the monster people call him.

    Summary

It was a sudden thought, a little like a lightning strike in the middle of a clear summer sky, and he was disgusted with himself almost before it even registered, but—

Maybe, he understood Mori just a bit, right now.

In this moment, in this second, Dazai felt like he would do anything, use any means, to tie Eri to himself so tightly that she would never even consider leaving. Reach bloody fingers inside her chest and twist her until she couldn’t take a breath without him.

A small hand tugged at his pant leg. A tentative voice said, “Daddy?”

Dazai met those red, candy apple eyes —so wide, so trusting— and very deliberately, very meticulously took that particular dark impulse and tore it out by the root. Then he set it on fire. Scattered the ashes. Salted the earth. And declared, in the privacy of his own mind, that he would never, ever be like Mori.

Or the five times Chuuya realized he was roped into being a murder family, and the one time Dazai did.

    Summary

They're Chuuya and Dazai until they're Soukoku until they're an unrivaled, unstoppable force and somewhere in the middle of all of that the constant, unwavering presence in the back of Chuuya's mind stakes a claim in his partner and it's easily ignorable until suddenly, it isn't.

That's what makes me love you, Dazai said when they first met, before trying and failing to pass it off as a joke, and now Chuuya understands how the realization can hit you like lightning, so sudden and overwhelming and unwanted. Dazai looked ashamed after he said it. Chuuya thinks he understands that now, too.

Or, Chuuya will go to any lengths for Dazai. He never expects that the reverse is also true.

    Summary

When Hari Potter is seven years old, the kid from Number 3 Privet Drive is caught with a secret pet snake that sends his mother into a fury. She is incensed by the abomination that he’s hidden in her home for so long, and she promptly releases the beast outside. Hari is outside pruning Aunt Petunia’s rose bushes when this occurs, sweating and half-delirious underneath the sweltering summer sun. He, understandably, thinks that he's hallucinating when a snake comes up to him and starts talking.

This young ball python has felt the call of a speaker’s magic ever since she was brought to Little Whinging. The second that she is freed, she seeks out the young speaker with magic that warms her to her bones, and she refuses to be separated from him no matter what.

She is the first serpent to claim Hari Potter as her own, but she is not the last. And a Hari Potter that is raised by snakes is a very different Hari Potter indeed.
