    Jack used to be lovers with Bootstrap, and at first he compares Will with him. But soon he realises that there's no comparison. He loves Will. And when they meet Bootstrap again, he's happily married - to Anna Maria's mother. Who is also the mother to a whole clan. Jack and Will enters the family, which just keeps expanding. Oh, and there's a God on the island they live on, which likes them both.

    "I called out your name, instead of hers. I called for you, Jack, because you're the only one I really want."

    Epic-length family-building fic with plenty of good feeling. Heaps of sex too, mostly well written. Could have been betaed, but the mistakes aren't very distracting. Several good pairings and interesting developments. Tsk, tsk, captain, that mouth of yours does get you in trouble. A bit dark in places. I liked Bootstrap's journey under the curse, very interesting. Several nice pairings. One of my favorite are Charles and Jacob, lovely angst. Nice family complications. Neat with the Aztec God. Heh for the cat "Monkey". I liked Elizabeth in this one, which I rarely do. I especially liked the future scene of how the family develops to modern time - good touch.

    How Bonham came to join Dorian. And how James fit in with the others. Not everything is roses all the time.

    'Amenable to being a human shield as needed' — 'able to go without food for several days in a hostage situation' — 'willing to dig graves or in general help hide dead bodies.'

    Interesting look into their lives. A nice read, good details. I like Bonham with a speciality, not just a generalist, kinda thing. And straight Bonham just works for me. Bonham's skill and practiciality is much appreciated, they need him. Poor James, with his turf invaded ... and many are mean to him. Good that Dorian is good to him - sometimes, at least. Aww for Bonham appreciating James' skills. Redhill, heh.

    As aficionados of Archie Goodwin’s books will be aware, Death of a Cad is notable for its abrupt ending. Fans have long speculated that Goodwin made this authorial choice to conceal some element of this famous case; although Goodwin often fictionalized and anonymized case details in his books, the “D’Souza murder” is obviously the Rodgers cause célèbre.

    For this special anniversary edition, the Goodwin estate is pleased to present the missing final chapter, as well as a postscript from the late author. Discover Death of a Cad anew!

    The missing chapter (Chapter 23) to Death of a Cad. In which Nero and Archie discuss the girls - when Archie lets something slip that doesn't escape Nero's sharp brain.

    Wolfe stared up at me, his gaze intense – and then a bolt of lightning went down my spine, because his eyes slipped past me, unfocused, and his lips started to push out, and in again, and out and in.

    I seldom find good fic in this fandom, but this one I did like. A bit aww-worthy. Good, suitable language, much like Stout's writing. Several good lines. Nice dash of angst too.

    They're all welcome to Stockholm. Preferably sance threats. And leave our king alone! Lovely image of Dorian in his dress, sounds most excellent. Poor Z ... Nice read. Heh for the information in the newspapers.

    In his defense, manifestations vary. Everybody knows that. It all depends on who you are, who your soulmate is, and some manifestations are there from the start; others don't show up until you've already met, or even after.

    And of all the possibilities Russ might have been considering, nowhere among them was that he'd end up cosmically linked by inexorable destiny to some namby-pamby stick-up-his-ass government tool, and especially not with a truth curse.

    Everyone has a soulmate - and a sign that binds them together. There are thousands of different signs - first exchanged words tattoed, name tatooed, tattoed points towards the soulmates, many others. Some are visible, others not. Russ has no visible mark. It is only once he has worked with Milt for some time that he realizes that when he is talking to him, he can only tell the truth ...

    Really, the first time he even has an opportunity to notice it is right after they talk to Teddy, the moment he opens his mouth and looks at Milt and hears himself say, "—because you're just really good-looking, man."

    I haven't found many good fics in this fandom yet, so I was happy to find this fic I really liked. Interesting world. Good twist for the boys.
