Summary
Shame and self-consciousness are words that do not exist in Steve Harrington’s vocabulary. It’s something Eddie learned quite quickly after moving in with him.
Because while Steve hasn’t had much luck in the past when it came to long lasting relationships, he sure as hell has a very active sex life - contrary to Eddie who has neither one nor the other, who’s always on the lookout but never quite interested enough to make even a half-hearted move on the girls he meets because somehow, none of them quite live up to his expectations. There’s always something missing.

Eddie is caught in a free fall. That, at least, is what it feels like.
Down it goes, fast but somehow too slow at the same time. Down, down, no end in sight. Feels like he should’ve crashed minutes ago, but still, he keeps drifting, floating, falling. Swiftly swaying like a feather in the wind, violently twirling like he’s caught in a hurricane.
Lost in contrasts – no sense for where is up and where is down, caught somewhere in the middle of a blissful nightmare. His insides churning, heartbeat out of rhythm – he feels cold and hot and it’s all too much.
But then why can he hear himself begging for more?

“Hey, uh, have you seen Munson?” Steve interrupts Alex mid-sentence, doesn’t care that he’s being rude.
“Munson? Don’t think he’s invited.” Alex snorts, seems proud of his useless comment.
Of course Munson isn’t invited. He doesn’t need an invitation, is the thing. Because while no one wants to be associated with The Freak, everyone’s always happy to shake hands with him when he shows up at parties. Selling his weed and the occasional pill or powder to anyone with a bit of spare cash in their pockets. And that’s exactly what Steve’s aiming for. He just has to find him first.
