“If I do manage to figure this technology out, we’ll need these to be beacons. But… don’t hold your breath. This stuff is years ahead of tech like my slate.”
--
The portals are tech. After the final battle, the Chain goes their separate ways. Fortunately, Wild and Flora are very smart and manage to unravel some of the tech. Hypothetical ending where everyone is as happy as possible! (Not all of them go home unscathed. Some have lasting injuries. This is sad and angsty for about three chapters but otherwise pure fluff.)- Language:

Bookmarker's Notes
I think I can probably consider this a Thanksgiving story? The end of it definitely has that vibe to me.

Wild knows, logically, that his brothers would be alright with it if he told them he was an Avian. Probably. Almost certainly.
So then, why does sheer instinct take over whenever someone gets too close to his back?Bookmarked by AutumnMercy

Summary
The Chain goes through a portal and finds themselves on Eventide Island. Wild’s already completed the challenge, so he’s left untouched, but everyone else is stripped down to their underthings.
With all the monsters freshly silver and gold pelted and black-blooded, the Chain have no hope of completing the challenge unequipped.
Luckily, Wild has plenty of gear to spare.

Summary
Jon didn't mean to, alright? He was just so used to being wrongfully declared dead that he'd forgotten this time had been on purpose.
Stuck as a general in the very war he had decided not to have any part in, Jon now resolves to at least keep these men depending on him alive. It's just… they're so scared all the time. And one of them is definitely force-sensitive, but terrified of Jon finding out.
Fortunately, the Force agrees with him that he should do something about this. Even if his methods might be… controversial.
The clones newly assigned to the 913th knew this was their last shot. They had barely made it through the simulations, had failed their first posting. Maybe nobody said it, but they knew regardless: If the new general didn't need a new legion made up of only two squads for some reason, they definitely would have been decommissioned. So they really, really couldn't fail this time.
Unfortunately, the jetii is weird and prone to self-destructive behaviour. The trainers on Kamino decidedly did not prepare them for any of this.
